Cookies SF opens CBD and Apparel Store in NYC

International cannabis and clothing brand Cookies SF just opened their M&M store equivalent in Herald Square. This five-story retail, educational, and cultural hub attracted a line that spanned several blocks for its grand opening on October 30th.

This store is not just for retail purposes, but will soon act as a place to educate members of the cannabis industry. The first two floors are dedicated to their retail brand, the third floor will host store management, and the two upper floors will contain Cookies U, an educational focused program where Cookies will partner with local colleges to provide training for bud-tenders, product specialists, general managers, store owners, and more.

“This is a huge move for Cookies SF and solidifies us as one of the most recognized streetwear brands in the world. This location is iconic for so many reasons,” said Berner, Co-Founder, and CEO of Cookies SF. “We plan on doing some incredible things in this location and can’t thank our partners enough. We’ve hired some really cool employees and plan on bringing big vibes to the big apple”

A star-studded opening

The grand opening featured tons of celebrities and influencers. The list included hip-hop artist Moneybagg Yo, GUMBO CEO Luka Brazi, and John Gotti Jr, and featured a special DJ set from DJ Funkmaster Flex. A gang of bikers shut down the street and 100s of people swarmed the corner location to dance and celebrate.

What can you purchase?

As of now, you can only purchase highly sought-after Cookies apparel and accessories, as well as their CBD-infused products at this location. The brand plans to sell THC products once they can legally do so in New York. They released this statement on the matter on Twitter.

“Will this store sell cannabis? Not at this time. This location is a Cookies SF store that will sell Cookies clothing, accessories, and CBD products. Do we plan to sell cannabis in the future? Yes, once we can legally apply for a license to sell cannabis in the state of New York.”
